5 Women to Watch in Accountancy

HEADER-woman-accountancy

Worldwide accounting diversity is a hot topic. In recent years the accounting profession has made big strides towards gender equality, but there’s still a long way to go before equality is fully realised.

Did you know that in the USA, even though women make up more than half of all accounting employees, less than a quarter are partners and only 11% of Fortune 500 CFOs are women?

INAA is proud to showcase the growing accounting diversity, and at every opportunity we want to help do our bit to commend the achievements of incredible women in accounting. Continue reading as we celebrate the accomplishments of these 5 female INAA members.

María Cristina Larrea, Brea Solans & Asociados

As a partner of Brea Solans & Asociados (BS&A) since 2006, Maria has extensive experience providing her clients with specialised advice on audit and consultancy across both the public and private sector.

During her time at BS&A, she has served as a technical consultant in different international arbitrations and expert examinations for local and international companies in the insurance, energy, finance and construction areas.

Currently, Maria is in charge of the Technical Department and the Training Department of BS&A, and is a proud member of the Board of Experts of the Arbitration Court of the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange. Beyond the services that BS&A offers, members like Maria are business people with extensive knowledge to provide integral support in strategic, operating and management issues.

If Maria’s incredible experience didn’t already speak for itself, her main expertise lies in auditing for limited companies and in accounts preparation for not-for-profit organisations. At INAA, we’re extremely proud to have both BS&A and Maria as members within our family of international accounting firms.
