Confirmed speaker: Jacob Soll

Author of three books including, The Reckoning: Financial Accountability and the Rise and Fall of Nations (2014), Jacob Soll is a professor of history, and winner of the prestigious MacArthur “Genius” Grant, who seeks not only to do pathbreaking research and erudition, but also to contribute to major public and economic policy issues including financial and political policy reform and accounting standards via his books, his work with government, journalism and lectures.

 

Confirmed speaker: Troy Hawes

Troy is a director with the IT Compliance, Consulting & Cybersecurity group at Moss Adams with over 25 years of information technology experience. Troy serves clients in a variety of industries, including government entities and critical infrastructure sectors such as, communications, health care, information technology, transportation, and water and wastewater system sectors, as well as publicly traded entities, private businesses, and higher education institutions. He has extensive experience managing and leading cybersecurity and compliance assessments using a number of different security frameworks including: NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, Cloud Controls Matrix, HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules, HITRUST Common Security Framework, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards, General Data Protection Regulation and others. He frequently leverages his security and compliance expertise to determine areas of risk, identify security weaknesses or infrastructure needs, and develop practical corrective action plans.

Confirmed speaker : Ron Seigneur

Ron is a partner in Seigneur Gustafson LLP, a CPA and consulting firm located in Lakewood, Colorado. Ron is a Senior Appraiser in Business Valuation from the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). He also holds the AICPA specialty designations of Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), and is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) with the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. He has published over 100 articles on business valuation, economic damages, leadership, compensation systems and related practice management subjects. Ron is co-author of three books professional treatises, including The Cannabis Industry Accounting and Appraisal Guide.  Ron is a past Chair of the Colorado Society of CPAs and teaches Valuing a Business at the University of Denver Daniels College of Business.
