The INAA Leadership Program is a unique opportunity designed for emerging leaders within the global INAA community. This intensive 12-month program aims to develop essential skills for effective leadership in a global and constantly evolving professional environment.

Participants will benefit from 8 online lectures delivered by global thought leaders. Topics include risk management, HR strategies, business development, technology, collaborative networks, and sustainability.

Shape

Participants will be challenged to a come up with a concept which can re-shape the future of auditing and accountancy. The group will be split up into teams and present their idea at an INAA Meeting.

Connect

Throughout the programme, facilitated networking will be organized, allowing the participants to connect and create a new network with colleagues across the globe.

Who can participate?

The program is designed for upcoming leaders with 5 to 7 years of experience, who are expected to enter senior leadership positions within the next 3 to 5 years. There is no age limit.

This year’s cohort followed the below lectures featuring industry leaders sharing insights and stratefies to elevate leadership skills.

This session is all about getting to know your fellow Future Shapers and the taskforce. You will be provided with more information about the programme, how best to approach it and what you will gain along the journey.  You will have the opportunity to hear from the Future Shapers Alumni and get some top tips from their experience.

In today's dynamic business landscape, sustainability is a strategic necessity. "Greening Your Business: A Triple Win for the Planet, The People, and Your Practices" is a session aimed at helping businesses adopt sustainable practices. It covers current and upcoming green regulations in Europe and beyond, and outlines the benefits of strong environmental credentials, such as cost savings, staff retention, competitive advantages, and new revenue streams. Led by Elisa Geraci, a seasoned expert in finance and sustainability, participants will gain practical strategies to enhance both their environmental impact and business performance.

This session is designed to help firms maximize their marketing potential by crafting strategies that align with their business objectives. It will cover understanding your unique marketing needs, how to develop an effective marketing strategy, and an overview of the various marketing channels available for use. Participants will learn what actions to take and what pitfalls to avoid, along with practical advice on executing their marketing plans efficiently. By the end of the session, attendees will have a comprehensive understanding of how to leverage marketing to achieve their business goals.

Recent events, from Covid-19 to climate change, have shown how quickly our world can change and highlighted the varied responses of leaders. Some have stepped up and made a significant difference, while others have faltered. These sessions will explore how effective leaders navigate volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous, and hyper-connected (VUCAH) times. The goal is to provide you with the mindset, skills, and connections needed to lead through uncertainty. Topics include understanding risk versus uncertainty, self-leadership, the importance of Purpose and Values, fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, leading across organizations, and leveraging networks. Led by Sandy Kennedy, these masterclasses will involve light homework, group discussions, and personal reflection, culminating in a summary of key insights and further reading resources.

Understanding your firm's team and client propositions, alongside a clear succession plan, is essential for determining the best structure to support your partners' vision. Whether a Pyramid or Diamond structure is most suitable depends on several factors: identifying team goals and the necessary skills to achieve them, deciding on the ideal team size, and navigating the current talent market by choosing between trainees and experienced hires. Additionally, recognizing team members' strengths and weaknesses, aligning the structure with your firm's culture, and tailoring the structure to specific needs and goals are all crucial. Ultimately, applying the 4 disciplines of execution will provide a solid framework for success.

Balancing technology, AI, and the essential human skill set in accounting is crucial for providing top-notch client service. This webinar highlights the synergy between automation and human touch, focusing on identifying tasks best suited for each, strengthening client relationships in a tech-centric era, and pinpointing opportunities for team skill enhancement. Ensuring that technology leverages, rather than replaces, the human element within your practice is key to achieving this balance.

This masterclass will tackle the importance of personal branding and how to best use Social Media for your professional carreer. It’s led by Vivienne Hsu who has over 15 years of marketing and communications experience. She started her career in advertising at Y&R Canada before moving to London to work at Ogilvy, TBWA, Grey Worldwide and most recently Cognito.  

Vivienne is a communications expert and skilled presenter.  In this session Vivienne will give her insights as to how to create your personal branding and social media presence. 

In Celemi Agile Move™, participants work in teams to explore and develop an agile mindset. This digital business simulation is set in a fictitious company dealing with the typical operational, strategic, and leadership challenges that many companies are facing today. 

During the session you will develop a big-picture understanding of what it means to be agile, to create more efficient process, build adaptive teams and react to market conditions. 

This will be a fun, facilitator-led experience, with lots of discussions and breakout rooms, working alongside your colleagues to build agile teams and organisations. 

This session is led by James Bishop, learning experience designer at Koru Consulting.  Koru Consulting is an organization dedicated to creating dynamic learning interventions, especially for leadership teams, based in Hong Kong but operating throughout the world.

Why the INAA Leadership Program is a Must-Do

The Leadership Program organized by INAA has been a precious experience for my personal and professional growth. Leadership Program by INAA is itself a great opportunity for the next generation of potential management candidates who can benefit on the experience of nearly a year of engagement with various activities of the program that enhances learnings and social interaction among the participants.

There was excellent effort among the INAA administrators and the participants and resources are well made available for us to successfully deliver the business proposal with lots of dedication and team work. It further enhances our time management skills and develop our sense of commitment towards the project.

I think the team selection could also work for 3 participants which opens the door for more project or ideas to be developed. And maybe criteria for the presentation can be made available early on and teams are constantly reminded of it to give more emphasis on what really are the most important aspect of the business proposal.

More importantly, if possible, INAA can secure the feedback from current management of each firm on how they plan to utilize the participants development thru the Leadership Program. Partners/directors of the firm can better assess how it impacts our careers afterwards and progress in successfully integrating us in the management roles.

Applications must be submitted by December 1st to: secretariat@inaa.org.

A selection committee, composed of INAA board members, will review and score all applications. The top 10 candidates will be selected to participate in the program.
