Prague can look forward to one of the most important financial conferences in Central and Eastern Europe, which will be held November 6th, 2019. It´s organised together with Hospodářské noviny, a daily economic newspaper in Prague, the Czech Republic.
The CEE Investment Forum, which has expanded the previous platform Prague Capital Market Summit, will be hosting international guests, the participation of key firms operating in the financial markets across the region and the extension of topics. The conference has long been supported by the state administration, associations & chambers, key partners and also economic media. The head topic will be conceived as an investment opportunity in the CEE and through a panel discussion will bring a comprehensive view of capital markets and investments in the CEE region.
“I am very pleased to have transformed the local event and platform PCMS, into a regional scale now. We are in process of negotiation participation of financial experts from UK, Germany, Poland, Hungary, and as well Luxembourg. At the same time, we have a number of new partners, including the organization level, we co-organize the forum with the Economia (publisher of Hospodarske noviny), and we also work really closely with the British Embassy in Prague on the FinTech and financial topics” said Dan Ledvinka, Director of the CEE Investment Forum.
Don't miss the opportunity! TOP TOPICS: FinTech, fund & asset management, European stock exchanges and real estate market.
Fintech, capital markets and technological disruption.
The financial sector is one of the most active sectors where innovation is currently being implemented. Leading European banks see innovation as an opportunity, mainly in terms of transformation and digitization. The key issue is data security, privacy, law and regulation, as well as funding for innovation. But the big question is the future of financial services and technological development. What role do banks play in their customers' lives and what will the future bank look like?
Investment funds and opportunities in Europe
The CEE region is very attractive from the point of view of foreign investment, and this is cross-sectoral. Key European investment fund representatives will reveal where they see opportunities in these markets, what sectors are attractive, how they differ across the regulatory region, the country's investment profiles, and how the investment fund's establishment and management is compared to the CEE region affecting subsequent asset management. At the same time, Czech-Slovak companies, which celebrate their success, are also oriented towards an investment environment in Europe at least, as well as solving the source of capital abroad as the local market has become insufficient for their needs. The growing level of private equity investment in Central and Eastern Europe has contributed to significant growth in M&A activity in recent years.
European stock exchanges and regional coverage
A more efficiently interconnected global economy, extensive access to information and deregulation in financial markets facilitate the diversification of the investment portfolio. More than 27 new issuers have made IPOs on European stock exchanges last year and many companies are expected to continue this trend. Europe has seen more technology IPOs in recent years than the US, and the SME segment is also beginning to use this form of capital resource. Where are the opportunities for all stakeholders, what is regional coverage and opportunities? Last year, capital markets also became an interesting source of funding for leading real estate market players, will this trend continue?
Real estate investment and capital markets
Although the investment boom in real estate investment in Europe continues, many real estate experts predict a decline in profitability. Already today, investors are focusing on high-quality assets in the most economically efficient markets. What are the key themes of the European real estate market in 2019? What is the driving force behind the office market in Europe? What investment strategies are the most important players in Europe doing? Who will win the "fight" for the highest quality assets (foreign vs. local investors)?
